Special Olympics Malta
National Games.
National Games 2024
The Special Olympics Malta National Games 2024 were held from September 12–15 at the SportMalta complexes in Cottonera and Marsa. Over 600 athletes from Malta, North Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, and Cyprus competed in five sports: bocce, swimming, table tennis, athletics, and football. The event, themed “The Champion Within Us,” celebrated inclusivity and athletic excellence.
Invitational Games 2022
The Special Olympics Malta Invitational Games 2022, held from 13–18 May, welcomed nearly 1,000 athletes from 23 countries. Competitions spanned six sports: athletics, swimming, bocce, bowling, table tennis, and football. Team Malta excelled, earning 65 gold, 60 silver, and 67 bronze medals. The event promoted inclusion and celebrated athletes' determination.
