The Ministry for Education, Youth, Sport, Research and Innovation and Special Olympics Malta have signed an agreement marking an important step in the national commitment to inclusive education and the wellbeing of athletes. The agreement establishes a strategic framework for collaboration, strengthening sport as a means of inclusion, empowerment, and holistic development within the country’s educational ecosystem.

The first MATP (Motor Activity Training Program) Meetup in Seixal, Portugal, organized by Special Olympics Portugal, united athletes from six countries: Malta, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Cyprus, and Italy.

An incredible achievement from our #TeamMalta Aquatics and athletic Teams at the Special Olympics Portugal Summer Games 2025 held between the 4th and 5th September 2025.

The athletes who represented #Malta at the Cyprus National Games 2025 were welcomed by Prime Minister Robert Abela and Special Olympics Malta President Lydia Abela, in recognition of their outstanding participation and achievements.

Special Olympics Malta athlete Sasha Cini placed third in the 4th Special Olympics Open Triathlon Competition 2025, held in Slovakia on 17 May 2025.

03/05/2025 - 06/05/2025 - Special Olympics Malta will be participating in the Cyprus National Games 2025 in 2 sport disciplines, Swimming and Athletics.
